As the region’s premier performing arts center, the Clemens Center is committed to providing a mix of programming that includes numerous opportunities for feel-good family entertainment. Whether in our magnificently restored Powers Theater or in our intimate Mandeville Hall venue, audiences of every age will be dazzled by the “best-in-class” talent, with names you’ll likely recognize. From on-line ticketing to courteous customer service and easy parking, you’ll enjoy a hassle-free performance experience as you create life-long memories with family and friends.
In addition, we proudly present our Mary Tripp Marks School-Time Series, which has run annually since 1979 touching the lives of more than 450,000 young people. Audiences for this series include regional public and private schools, home-schools, pre-schools and individual families. For many who attend, this is their first introduction to the Clemens Center and the magic of live theater.
In October 2017, the John G. Ullman & Associates Foundation, Inc. provided underwriting for the Center’s first-ever sensory-friendly dance performance for children on the autism spectrum. The success of that event, combined with the Foundation’s mission to fund educational programs for children in the local area, inspired the creation of a new series of programming for the Clemens Center titled the John G. Ullman & Associates Foundation, Inc. Family Connection.
The carefully-curated programs in the Family Connection Series will help connect families to the Clemens Center by attending together, and promote family conversation, critical thinking, and the simple enjoyment of the live performing arts.
