Mary Tripp Marks School-Time Series
In addition, we proudly present our Mary Tripp Marks School-Time Series, which has run annually since 1979 touching the lives of more than half a million young people. Audiences for this series include regional public and private schools, home-schools, pre-schools and individual families. For many who attend, this is their first introduction to the Clemens Center and the magic of live theater.
The magic of our Family Connex Series began in October 2017 with a single, groundbreaking moment: a sensory-friendly dance performance designed specifically for local children on the autism spectrum. Underwritten by the John G. Ullman & Associates Foundation, Inc., the overwhelming success of that day—paired with the Foundation’s dedication to regional youth education—became the spark that launched this vital series. We remain deeply grateful for that foundational vision which set us on this path.
Today, thanks to the generous support of the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, Family Connex continues to expand its reach and bring vibrant new energy to our entire community. By bringing generations together at the Clemens Center, these carefully-curated live performing arts experiences do so much more than entertain. They ignite critical thinking, spark lively family conversations long after the curtain falls, and celebrate the simple joy of sharing live theater. We have so much to look forward to this season—join us for our next performance and discover the magic with your family!
