As a performer\, club manager\, and even as a part of the George Carlin tour\, Ralph has been everywhere\, done everything and seen it all. \nRalph’s blue collar Western New York upbringing resonates with his audiences. Whether he’s talking about politics\, family life or pop culture\, Ralph has an accessible style that is not only hilarious\, but honest and real. \nWith over 30 years in the business\, Ralph has a knack for connecting with all types of crowds. From family-friendly events to corporate appearances to gritty clubs\, Ralph can size up an audience and deliver the performance that’s just right every time.= \nStarting out at Yuk Yuk’s in 1988\, Ralph became the house MC at the Comix Cafe\, performed with Joey & Maria’s Comedy Wedding\, The Inner Loop Improv Troupe\, and with every performance\, Ralph shows you why critics have called him original\, energetic\, and possessing a warehouse of rich material! \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \nA Jersey Girl who has lived in Painted Post for 50 years… a mom of 2\, grandma to 2\, cat and dog mom\, wife to long suffering hubby. He didn’t invent it – but he’s certainly been a major contributor\, having co-founded seriously noteworthy Canadian bands like the Creaking Tree String Quartet\, the Foggy Hogtown Boys and\, more recently\, his namesake Trio. That’s not to mention the fact that this robust performer – comfortable on mandolin\, fiddle\, guitar\, mandola and mandocello – composes\, produces\, arranges\, writes and teaches across multiple genres\, including a freewheeling fusion of folk\, acoustic roots\, newgrass and even a dash of chamber where warranted. \nAs Collins gathers up innumerable JUNO nominations (5) and Canadian Folk Music Awards (7) won by his various ensembles\, he’s zeroing in on the work he does with Trio mates:  fellow string guru Adam Shier\, whose versatility shines through on guitar and mandolin\, and in-the-pocket James McEleney holding it down on the bass\, mandocello and harmony vocals. \nShowcasing a dizzying number of styles and instruments on stage\, Collins and Co. appear to live by the old adage\, “idle hands are the devil’s workshop”\, likely keeping them just ahead of his grasp. Bending and blending genres\, these musical shape shifters land somewhere between the re-imagined worlds of Béla Fleck\, Newgrass invader David Grisman and the legendary Yo Yo Ma! \nThe Trio recently released their aptly titled album\, “The Rule of Three”\, drawing inspiration from the literary principle that a trio of elements is more impactful\, intricately weaving together visual and literary art’s “rule of thirds. The album was\, serendipitously enough\, nominated for 3 Canadian Folk Music Awards! \nHere at the Clemens Centre on October 2nd\, they’re releasing “Retro”\, a treasure trove of Andrew’s signature tracks over the years with fresh arrangements and spirited trio interplay. From blazing bluegrass to jazzy waltzes and classical reinterpretations\, Retro shows that great music evolves through honoring its roots. \nPost-Show Jam Session ($15 Add-On) \nJoin The Andrew Collins Trio for a special Post-Show Jam Session—an hour of music\, improvisation\, and fun with fellow music lovers. Patrons attending the jam session are encouraged to bring their own instruments and be part of the music-making. Whether you’re ready to jump in or simply want to listen and enjoy the session\, come be part of this unique after-show experience! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Dates/times/programs/prices are subject to change.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Questions?\nContact our Box Office:\nMonday-Friday\n11:30 am – 5:30 pm\n607-734-8191 or\n800-724-0159\nboxoffice@clemenscenter.org\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Visitor Information>\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket prices vary for each performance and are either Reserved or General Admission seating. He’s been a guest on SiriusXM Satellite Radio & Time Warner Spectrum TV. Tommy is a regular at the world famous Broadway Comedy Club in New York City. Tommy Gooch was born in Brooklyn\, was raised and still resides in Staten Island\, NY. His ranting self-deprecating\, family-oriented style of comedy has traveled & made him a crowd favorite for years. Tommy’s natural loveable off the cuff comedy is a popular choice to headline any show.  \n \n \n \n \n \n \nRuperto Vanderpool is a Dominican comedian known for his many characters and accents. He is known to come out on stage dressed as a Jamaican only to later tell the crowd that he is just lying and that he is really Dominican. He has appeared in many films and done many shows. \nOne of Ruperto’s most memorable performance as stated by him is performing in Madison square garden for two nights for the Comedy Show presented by Tri-state area Latin station “La Mega” 97.9FM. He has also appeared in the garden imitating famous Dominican singer Antony Santos for an Aventura Concert right before the Real Antony Santos came out on stage. \nRuperto grew up poor in the Bronx\, New York\, where with 7 other family members as he says there was always something going on\, “Funny things always happened in my house being that there were 8 of us.” His humor often includes things from his youth or personal life and culture. \nRuperto is bilingual\, and often incorporates both languages (Spanish and English) as part of his act. \nInstagram.com/rvcomedy/reels/ \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \nI was born\, bred\, married\, spawned\, and divorced in Detroit\, Michigan…and to make matters worse I did most of that twice. Well\, now make that thrice. Well\, not the divorced part. That was only 2. Oh yeah… Both my ex-husbands are remarried\, very happy\, and love each other very much. Just kidding…they’re not happy. \nI started out in show biz at the age of 3. I would go to tables in restaurants and engage people in conversation while they ate their egg foo yung. I was charming until I started eating off their plates (something I continued to do until the pandemic). My mom\, being my first agent\, gave me the hook often and dragged me back to our own table. Nobody ever said “let’s do lunch”. At 6\, my parents acquiesced to my talent and gave me enough lessons to be the next Sammy Davis Jr. I took tap\, ballet\, modern jazz\, singing\, clarinet\, you name it\, I did it. I was a walking lounge act waiting to happen. In high school\, it was drama classes. After school\, the theater. Then it was community theatre. Tent shows. \nThen marriage ended all that and I became a wife\, mother\, and eating machine. It was during this time I started cooking\, baking\, and eating everything in sight. This lasted through 2 marriages\, 1 child\, and 16 scales. I became a vegetarian\, but this just made me eat more pizzas and cake. (Both meatless) I decided to exercise\, but that just made me hungrier. I decided to take diet pills\, but that just made me eat faster. \nAfter many years of working at a veterinary hospital and a law office\, and raising my daughter\, I finally found myself in show biz . I became a standup comic. A friend told me about a comedy club in Detroit and I worked on my “schtick” until I got a spot on that stage and that was the beginning. I talked about dieting\, sex\, and my life in general. This was more fun than the proverbial barrel of monkeys. And so it began… and so it continues… and “Thanks be to God” as my grandma would say\, I was successful\, made money\, and was even nominated for the 11th & 13th Annual American Comedy Awards. Which I did not win. Which is another story. Which will not be told at this moment. \nI have done stand up\, worked in radio\, television\, movies\, and theater and will continue to do so for as long as my audiences will have me. I have traveled with my 2-woman show “Self-Help: The Comedy” that I co-star\, co-wrote\, and co-produced. I kinda stopped. Thought I would retire\, but “Just when I thought I was out\, they pull me back in!” LOL (Sorry\, had to do it) Love me some Godfather!! Anyway\, So Along came Carnival Cruise Ships and that’s been my wonderful comedy life up until Covid! But not letting her stop me!! Now I’m coming back\, and starting new journeys. I want to do more TV\, more movies\, more stand-up\, more ships\, more everything. More\, More\, More!!! And more new stuff! Stay tuned…… My passion\, besides showbiz\, is animals. And rescue. That will be all over my paws4laughter page and eventually my www.paws4laughter.com site. paws4laughter will help rescues and shelters put on comedy shows to raise funds for their furballs. Working on it as I type. See you all soon!! Stay safe! Be happy! And remember to laugh!!!!!! Bring it on world!! \nInstagram.com/sheilakaycomic1/ \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \nActor/Comedian Brian Scott McFadden is one of the funniest stand up comics working in the industry today. A regular on the NY comedy club circuit\, Brian has recently taken his act to a whole new level with his high energy performances & some of the most unique\, incisive & hilarious routines around. After making his debut on The Late Show with David Letterman Brian followed that up with an appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS. A multi¬dimensional performer Brian is both an accomplished stage actor\, who has played Hamlet in New York\, and a versatile voice over artist with a vast range of accents and character voices in his repertoire. Brian was recently seen on the big screen in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller & also performed in such films as Ice Age II with Ray Romano and Robots with Robin Williams & Halle Berry. Victor Frankenstein\, the mad scientist of legend\, has died and left everything to his grandson\, Frederick\, who wants nothing to do with the family’s notorious legacy. To settle his inheritance\, he travels to his grandfather’s castle in Transylvania\, meeting the grandson of Victor’s loyal henchman\, Igor; the beautiful lab assistant\, Inga; and the mysterious Frau Blücher. Before long\, Frederick is sucked into his grandfather’s experiments and succeeds in creating human life. But by the time they realize that the Monster’s been accidentally given an abnormal brain\, the Monster has already escaped\, seemingly set to terrorize the countryside like the Frankensteinian monsters before him. Will Frederick repeat the mistakes of his grandfather? Or will he succeed where the others have not and turn his Monster into a dapper\, intelligent man about town? Young Frankenstein is a hilarious take on the classic horror story\, combining zany antics\, a witty script\, and high energy comedic performances for one unforgettable\, hilarious adventure in Transylvania. \n \n \n \n \n \n Dates/times/programs are subject to change.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket prices vary for each performance and are either Reserved or General Admission seating. The camp will run from June 29 – July 25\, with classes offered for Writers\, Stage Technicians\, Costumers and Actors. \nClasses are 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm\, Monday- Friday\, at the Clemens Center\, with performances on July 24 and July 25. \n– Writers will attend camp from June 29 – July 17 (optional attendance July 20-25)– Stage Technicians\, Costumers\, and Actors will attend from July 6 – July 25– Performances are Friday\, July 24 at 7:30pm & Saturday\, July 25 at 2:00pm \nWriters: Writers will adapt public domain one-act plays to reflect modern life. Writers will interact with the actors to learn how actors use the script to create their character. Workshop will be conducted by a communications professional with decades of theatre experience. \nStage Technicians: Stage Technicians will learn lighting and sound design and color theory from the Clemens Center’s lighting and audio technicians. They will be assigned to design light and sound for a one-act play. Tech students will also assist with any events in the theater while the camp is in session. \nCostumers: Costumers will learn costume design from a 2009 graduate of the Savanna College of Art and Design who has been designing costumes and taking fashion commissions in the Detroit area since 2009. The costumers will design and build a number of costumes for the performances. \nActors: With the growing popularity of puppetry in professional theatre (as seen in productions like War Horse\, The Lion King and Life of Pi)\, actors will be introduced to the art of performing with puppets. They will incorporate puppets into their scenes and receive guidance from a seasoned local actor with decades of experience. This mentor will support them through scene work as they learn both their one-act plays and the techniques for effective puppet manipulation. \nThe final week of the camp\, including performances\, will take place in Powers Theater. \nTheatre Camp costs $275.00 per student. Two U.S. State Department employees\, Bob and Norma\, have been tasked with identifying so-called “sexual deviants” within their ranks. There’s just one problem: both Bob and Norma are gay\, and have married each other’s partners as part of a carefully constructed cover. \nInspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement\, Perfect Arrangement blends sharp\, classic sitcom-style humor with powerful\, thought-provoking drama. As the stakes rise\, two “All-American” couples are forced to confront the truth behind their carefully curated lives—and ultimately\, to stare down the closet door. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Dates/times/programs are subject to change.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Questions?\nContact our Box Office:\nMonday-Friday\n11:30 am – 5:30 pm\n607-734-8191 or\n800-724-0159\nboxoffice@clemenscenter.org\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Visitor Information>\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket prices vary for each performance and are either Reserved or General Admission seating. It will give you new life.” – Variety \nThere’s trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian. Meredith Willson’s six-time\, Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman\, Harold Hill\, as he cons the people of River City\, Iowa\, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this\, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian\, the librarian\, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.  Featuring songs such as “Seventy-Six Trombones\,” “Trouble\,” “‘Til There Was You\,” “Pickalittle” and “Gary\, Indiana\,” The Music Man is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n We are very thankful for our organization supporters:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Dates/times/programs are subject to change. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n View Seating Chart (PDF)\n \n \n \n \n \n Questions?\nContact our Box Office:Monday-Friday11:30 am – 5:30 pm607-734-8191 or800-724-0159boxoffice@clemenscenter.org \n \n \n \n \n \n Visitor Information>\n \n \n \n \n \n Learn more about ouronline ticket process > \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket prices vary for each performance and are either Reserved or General Admission seating. This free performance is offered by The Cantata Singers\, in collaboration with the Chorus of the Southern Finger Lakes\, as a special gift to the community in appreciation for six decades of support. \nCreation is a monumental\, 75-minute celebration of the wonders of our natural world. Inspired by the narrative power of the choral tradition\, Forrest crafted this work as a “cinematic musical score” for the 21st century. The work weaves together ancient texts\, scripture\, and modern poetry to capture everything from the swirling energy of the universe’s dawn to the delicate beauty of life on Earth. \nThe performance will feature a truly global palette\, utilizing the haunting\, soulful tones of the duduk\, an ancient relative of the oboe\, representing the “breath of life\,” the shimmering brilliance of a handbell choir\, the power of a 45 piece orchestra\, and the unique sounds of many unusual percussion instruments. \nIt is a special honor to present this work in Elmira because of its deep local ties. Composer Dan Forrest grew up just outside Elmira\, in Breesport\, making this performance a true “hometown” celebration of his artistry. Following this performance\, members of our choir will be performing this work in England\, a testament to the passion and talent cultivated here in our community. \n \n \n \n \n \n Dates/times/programs are subject to change.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket prices vary for each performance and are either Reserved or General Admission seating.
